STATION 3
Yarmouth has approved funding for plans for a new West Yarmouth Fire Station 3.  To be located on Buck Island Road and Town Brook Road on about 3 acres, the new station would add apparatus space, living quarters, and administrative office space.  May 2005.
Initial plans (and costs) were rejected by town officials and work continues on trying to get a new fire station in town that can serve the needs of West Yarmouth as well as solve the problems that exist at the headquarters that is not ADA compliant.  The present Station 3 was staffed in 2003 and utilizes a trailer for living space.

West Yarmouth Station 3 will be staffed with 3 personnel 24/7 beginning around January 2004.  Plans are for an ambulance in each station and a 4th added to HQ around that time.  Yarmouth hired 12 personnel in 2003.
